Case Histories — Limecrete Screed

The Requirement

  • At this Historic Lodge building, a new screed had to be installed.
  • It needed to be able to breathe & be compatible with the adjacent walls construction.

Project Details

  • Natural History Museum, a Grade 1 listed building.

The Solution

  • We laid Foam Glass aggregate covered by Geotextile Membrane
  • Lightweight clay aggregate, again Geotextile Membrane, then a build-up screed of Natural Hydraulic Lime & Sand
  • This facilitated the strict conditions for this beautiful building replacement Screed.
