Case Histories — Natural Hydraulic Lime

The Requirement

• External lime render had to be applied onto a plastic cavity membrane over walls & ceilings.
• The background masonry was in a terrible state, but the finished surface needed to be smooth for decoration.

Project Details

• Two high end residential properties in Mayfair and Chelsea, London.

The Solution

• We used NHL 3.5 with sand for the build-up render coats.
• The strength of NHL 3.5 was decreased & plastering sand introduced through to the final coat.
• This was then decorated to match the adjacent finished areas of both properties.
